Wrote three editions of Cheap Tricks: 100s of Ways You Can Save 1000s of Dollars (1990-94), a collection of money-saving ideas. Also wrote Shattering the Two-Income Myth (1997), a book highlighting the pitfalls of the two-income lifestyle and the economics of living on one income.
Creator of weekly Cheap Tricks column used by fourteen newspapers, including The Seattle Times. (1993-95).
